UR Housing Search is an English guide to UR rental apartments, run by a licensed real estate agent in Osaka. We search UR vacancies for you, place viewing holds and applications with UR on your behalf, and explain each step in English — free of charge.

Why we made this site

Many people who move to Japan for work or study are turned down by private landlords, or are asked for a Japanese guarantor they don't have. UR housing has no guarantor, no key money and no renewal fee, and accepts foreign residents under the same rules as everyone else — but UR's own website, rules and application process are only in Japanese. This site puts the vacancies, the rules and the booking process into English.

What we do — and what UR does

• We show live vacancies, floor plans and photos, place the viewing hold or application with UR, and tell you what documents to prepare.
• UR (Urban Renaissance Agency) is the landlord. You sign the contract and pay rent directly to UR at the UR sales office.
• We are an independent licensed agent, not UR. Our service is free for you.
