Why UR housing?

  • No guarantorYou don't need a Japanese guarantor or a guarantor company.
  • No key moneyNo reikin (gift money to the landlord).
  • No agent feeBooking and applying through us is free.
  • No renewal feeStay as long as you like without renewal fees.

Many private landlords in Japan turn down foreign tenants or require a Japanese guarantor. UR (Urban Renaissance Agency) is a public housing provider that accepts foreign residents under the same rules as everyone else. UR's own website is only in Japanese — this site lets you search and book in English.
